STEM Club Visits Getty on Field Trip

On November 21st the NAHS Stem Club went on an amazing field trip to the Getty and UCLA’s campus and three exhibits at the Fowler Museum , led by two of our science teachers, Ms. Garrison and Mr. Arias.  At the Getty, they went through nine exhibitions on how science and art combine together, how they restored Van Gogh paintings using ultraviolet rays and the art behind holograms. At UCLA they went to three exhibits containing silver Germanic plates and decorations, native African weapons and masks, and art put together by an African tribe during the Red Cross’s water donations. Many more field trips to museums and aquariums are hoped to be conducted in the future.
