As college application season intensifies, many seniors are working hard to submit their University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) applications before Thanksgiving break. For those students applying to UC and CSU schools, the deadline is December 2nd. This means it is time to make those final revisions, double checking their personal insight questions, and ensuring there are no mistakes before submitting on time.
The pressure to finish these applications is overwhelming, but there is always help available. If seniors are in need of assistance visit Mrs. Ortega in the College Center. She is there to provide guidance on everything from creating your college account to ensuring your application represents you. Mrs. Ortega also hosts Workshops Wednesdays every week for that additional support seniors may need. So don’t feel shy and stop on by.
Additionally, seniors can talk to the Peer College Counselors (PCCs) for personalized guidance. PCC’s are seniors who know the ropes around college applications and are ready to offer support on essays, activities lists, and application navigation. Your current PCCs are: Hannah Carlson, Jasmine Ventura, Marc Aya, Tiana Mareko, Angelica Basa, Sherrie Castro, Jesus Anguiano, and Mervile Dumayag. These students have an understanding of the UC and CSU systems and are ready to offer help or advice.
So, get those college applications turned in Seniors. It is definitely a time-consuming and draining task, but also a rewarding opportunity. Remember, the deadline is coming up fast, so don’t wait till the last minute to submit those applications.
