On October 9th, selected students from the Senior Council, Social Studies classes, and Black Student Union were given the opportunity to watch the famous Broadway show Hamilton at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for free. Students and staff left the school campus at 5pm on two buses to arrive at the Pantages Theatre before 7:30. Everyone was given a ticket with a specific seat, which students and staff had to abide by. When the play began everyone was quiet, and many people enjoyed the experience. Hamilton is the story of the Founding Father Alexander Hamilton’s life story as he fights for freedom, love, passion, and what it means to have a legacy. Jules Del Rosario, a person who attended said “I thought it was a perfect opportunity, being able to go for free was nice, I love Hamilton ever since I was in elementary school, and it was my second time ever seeing it live, it was a lot of fun, and I got to see it with friends.”Many have said they enjoyed the field trip and wish NAHS could have more opportunities like this.
