Northridge Academy is no ordinary high school. Being such a small school, with a population not exceeding 950 students, NAHS is subject to many limitations. One of the most talked about of these aforementioned limitations being our lack of a football team and subsequently a homecoming dance. This has left many students yearning for what is seen as a crucial aspect of the “high school experience” but it seems like the homecoming drought has come to an end.
NAHS is preparing to throw its first homecoming dance this Friday, October 4th in the MPR. In light of this, ASB President, Tiana Mareko gave details on the dance and what has gone into its preparation. “we’ve never really had a homecoming because we don’t have a football team” Mareko explains, “but we wanted to bring the same spirit to NAHS” . Interestingly, Northridge’s first homecoming dance will have “A Night of Paris” as its theme. “we decided on the theme with a class vote, the other themes were Disney Formal, Retrograde and Rave” the president states.
For those who want to attend homecoming, 25 dollar tickets are being sold until Wednesday, October 2nd and will be sold at the door for a price of 30 dollars.
