For the 2024-25 school year, Northridge Academy High School gets new, returning, and changed electives. Ms. Schink, a teacher of biotech and forensics, two of the new electives, says, “It’s really cool to see a bunch of nurses and doctors get excited for class.” and, “It’s a joy to watch students investigate their favorite shows and movies in real life.”
Referring to our Head Counselor, Ms. Martinez, some existing electives have been changed, as Yearbook now counts as an F elective and ASB (Associated Student Body), as well as Library Sciences, now count as a G electives. All being well, as a result of these changes and additions, these electives can allow students to become exposed to topics and classes of interest. As a result, these changes will eventually aid students in the long term for college.
In addition, two AP classes not present for last school year have returned, including AP Psychology and AP Physics, which allows for additional opportunities for students who want to explore that field and career.
