Seniors kicked off their first senior event last Friday, September 19, with Senior Breakfast. There were a variety of activities during Senior Breakfast to commence the beginning of their senior year such as: rock painting, giant jenga, bubbles, chalk, and volleyball. Senior Breakfast is typically during the second semester. New advisor, Ms. Brenda Castellanos’ decision to move it to the first semester was for every senior to attend due to eligibility. All seniors are eligible at the beginning of the school year and through this event, Castellanos hopes to set a positive tone and encourage students to maintain eligibility. During the event, the design for senior year was unveiled, and Josie Chavez’s design was chosen. Due to the hard work of Senior Council, the majority of the senior class attended with a few exceptions. The next senior events will be a fundraiser at Chuck E. Cheese October 17 and Senior Picnic on November 14.
